Services Australia says no more than 2 advance payments can be taken in that period, and that an advance may reduce the fortnightly loan amount available. The effective date comes from the Social Services and Other Legislation Amendment (Pension Loans Scheme Enhancements) Act 2022, which commenced on 1 July 2022.",
