# Retirement Wealth > Australian retirement rules and rates: a factual reference. A free reference to selected superannuation caps, Age Pension thresholds and deeming rates, with links to official government sources. Retirement Wealth provides selected factual information about Australian retirement rules and rates. It does not provide personal or general financial product advice or recommend financial products. Summaries may not cover every condition or exception. Check the linked official sources and obtain advice appropriate to your circumstances before making financial decisions. This is not a government website. Each figure has its value, its unit, the date it applies from, its official source and the date it was last checked against that source. The same data is published as static JSON files: no key and no sign-up. ## Data - [API index](https://retirementwealth.com.au/api/v2/): the endpoints, with the latest release and a hash that changes only when the data changes. - [Figures](https://retirementwealth.com.au/api/v2/figures.json): the 133 published figures with their current values. - [One figure, for example the concessional contributions cap](https://retirementwealth.com.au/api/v2/figures/concessional_cap.json): its timeline of values, newest first. - [Values as at a date](https://retirementwealth.com.au/api/v2/as-at/index.json): each figure's recorded value on each date a published value changed. - [Concepts](https://retirementwealth.com.au/api/v2/concepts.json): which figures give the same quantity for different households, ages or other situations. - [Changes](https://retirementwealth.com.au/api/v2/changes.json): what changed, the date it applies from and when it was published. - [Latest release](https://retirementwealth.com.au/api/v2/releases/latest.json): a small file to check for new data. - [OpenAPI description](https://retirementwealth.com.au/api/v2/openapi.json) and [JSON Schema](https://retirementwealth.com.au/api/v2/schema/api.json). - [Documentation](https://retirementwealth.com.au/data/). ## Reading a figure - effective_from is a date. effective_from_basis says what it means: "value" (the day this value started), "provision" (the day the current rule started; the number itself is older) or "as_at" (a day the official source shows the value in force; the day it started is not recorded). - applies_by, where present, says which value applies when it is not simply the value in force on a date: by date of birth, by financial year, by the date of an event, or fixed at an event. - dimensions say who or what a figure is for. A couple amount says "combined" (both partners together) or "each" (for each partner). - conditions and exceptions are sentences from the figure's notes. An exception with "modelled": false is not built into any calculation here. - upcoming holds values already set by law for a later date. They are not in force yet. - unit.ratio_divisor turns a rate into a plain ratio: 3.75 percent is 0.0375. The ratio field gives it directly. - cite_as is a ready-made citation with the value, its date, the official source and the date it was last checked. ## Optional - [Current figures as plain text](https://retirementwealth.com.au/llms-full.txt) - [The first JSON feeds](https://retirementwealth.com.au/api/figures.json), still published.
