About this figure

A fee for daily living services such as meals, cleaning and laundry. My Aged Care says each aged care home resident pays it, and that it is set as a share of the single basic Age Pension rate and indexed on 20 March and 20 September each year. The effective date comes from the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing schedule of fees and charges from 20 September 2026.
