About this figure
The second of four income thresholds the department lists for the residential care means assessment under the 1 November 2025 fee arrangements. The department says a resident whose income or assets are above certain thresholds pays means tested contributions, worked out by Services Australia, and that income and asset thresholds are indexed in March and September each year. The schedule does not set out how each threshold is used. Read in the department's schedule of fees and charges from 20 September 2026, which is a PDF linked from the source page.
